This project used the Paragon Retaining Wall System which is a system we contract
manufacture.
The color of the block in the photo above is a two-color marble incorporating
gray and tan. The project used tumbled block to give a weathered and rustic appearance.
The Paragon Retaining Wall System product is primarily used in large residential
projects for site walls, between houses and in back yards.

The most beautiful feature a retaining wall can offer is when it enhances nature
itself.
Installation Notes:
Installing a retaining wall is real quick and easy once you correctly install
the bottom course.
This course needs to be installed after a trench has been dug deep and wide enough
to accommodate two to four inches of compactable, drainable leveling base, (eg. ½" crushed
rock or recycled concrete) and still be able to bury the bottom block.
The taller the wall is being built, the more crushed rock will be required in
the base.
Each block needs to be set level by itself and level with the adjacent block.
Once the base course is set, the rest of the wall goes together easily and quickly.

We are the proud manufacturer of a variety of retaining wall systems, including Paragon Retaining
Wall Systems, Pyzique Retaining Wall Systems, and our own
retaining wall system, the Cuesta. Both the Paragon and the Cuesta Retaining Wall Systems are "core-fill" systems.
Core fill systems are stabilized by adding crushed rock to inside of the block. The crushed
rock works its way thru the wall and ties the whole wall together.
The beauty of this design is the ability to turn corners both directions and flexibility of "set
back" (placement of block further back on the block below anchoring the wall towards embankment).
Installers have opportunity for creativity without impairing the wall's structural integrity.
The Pyzique Retaining Wall System is, by our estimation,
the neatest little landscape block on the market today. Instead of having the "lip" on
the back of the block it has a split face just like the front of the block. This allows the block
to be used in a number of landscaping projects including retaining walls, fences, stairs, columns,
edging and anything else you can think of.

The Cuesta retaining wall block is the perfect block for homeowners and contractors
