Pavers need a level and compacted base, which requires a compactable material such as road base. The pavers are laid on a level and compacted layer of concrete sand. It is recommended to use a edge restraint product to contain this sand base to prevent settling from displaced sand over time.

Pavers can be used to accent small patios with unique colorful patterns and size combinations.
