Pavers need a level and compacted base, which requires a compactable material such as road base. The
pavers are laid on a level and compacted layer of concrete sand.

Warning Bricks were designed to meet the specifications of the Americans
with Disabilities Act. There are small, circular protrusions on the top of the paver to warn visually impared
individuals approaching an intersection or entry way.
